Skin Cancer

It is very important to self-screen for suspicious moles or lesions and to have annual screenings by a board certified physician. Download the AAD’s Body Mole Map to note the results of your self-examination. Skin exams are a visual inspection of the entire body for suspicious growths, moles or lesions using a bright light and sometimes a magnifying glass for a closer look. Even the scalp is checked out by parting sections of hair to get a good look. You should make a full body exam if you have :  Suspicious moles or skin lesions, Symptoms of early skin cancer, A history of previous skin cancer, 50 or more moles, Atypical (unusual) or large moles, A family history of skin cancer.

Anti- Aging

Facial shape, aging, genetics and certain life style choices such as smoking, prolonged sun exposure, excessive exercise and exposure to pollution all play a role on how one will age. Together, these factors result in diminished collagen, hyaluronic acid and fat production, decreased skin elasticity, decreased natural skin oiliness, reduced skin moisture retention and suppleness. The result of the slowed remodeling of these skin-tightening proteins causes your skin to thin, droop and lose elasticity—which often leads to winkles, furrows and fine lines.

Skin Care for Women

Our main emphasis for skincare is limiting sun exposure. The majority of skin’s visible aging is due to the sun! That means that the earlier you start protecting your skin from the sun, the younger your skin will look in the future. Prevention is key! Taking care of your skin now and doing minor treatments will prevent damage or prolong the time before you might need more aggressive treatments in the future.

Skin Care for men

Sharon J .Littzi, M.D. has extensive experience in helping men create a skincare routine that fits their skin and their lifestyle. Whether it’s with laser resurfacing, topical treatments or anything in between, we will help you achieve the very best, most youthful-looking skin possible. We carry a number of effective, customizable products that address
men’s skin-care needs. The ideal skin care regimen for men includes a hydroxy acid cleanser, antioxidant, retinoid and sunscreen.

Injectable Fillers

As we continue to age, the bony skeleton shrinks resulting in less support for the overlying soft tissue and muscles.  The end results can be dramatic and include depressed temples, flatter cheeks, deep lines along the sides of the nose (laugh lines), and thinner lips . These changes make us look older, tired, and angry even if we are not. As we age, a combination of factors can result in the loss of our youthful look. That is why injectable fillers have become such a useful tool in medical aesthetics.
